scott's 'peak oil propaganda' debate

* earlier in the month I was wondering why Novak's plame-outing article was still pushing for the declassification of the CIA report about Wilson's trip, even after Waas reported that the rest of the WH had backed off (after Tenet/Rove/Hadley's statement retracting the 16-words et al). There seems to be some reasonable speculation that Novak's article hit the wires on the 11th (Fri), even though it was dated the 14th. That would solve that little part of the mystery.

* krauthammer: 'Preznit Blinky wouldn't listen to any court that tried to limit his spying, unless it was a unanimous SCOTUS decision, maybe'
unanimous? wtf?

* ""I think the [publications] that are causing the most kickback now are things that look like they're critical of the administration," said one former official who has written about intelligence policies and techniques. "The [career] agency people feel like they are regarded by the White House as the enemy." They "feel like Goss's real job is to decimate the place," said the former official, who, like others contacted for this story, asked for anonymity to avoid reprisal from the CIA." (link)
