* atrios: "It's difficult to figure out just what the craziest thing about Curt Weldon is. Pinning a Moonie Church medal on Moammar Gadaffi probably tops the list."
* "Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales suggested on Thursday for the first time that the president might have the legal authority to order wiretapping without a warrant on communications between Americans that occur exclusively within the United States." (link)
* they'd sell their mother:
"Republican Gov. Jeb Bush complained Thursday that Katherine Harris has made her struggling Senate campaign about herself instead of the record of the Democratic incumbent.look out babs.
"I am the party leader. I've got concerns," the governor said in response to a reporter's question. "The campaign can't be about her. It has to be about Bill Nelson and the future of our state and so far, she asked my advice and I gave her that exact advice and it's gotten worse since."
Asked if the issues surrounding Harris' campaign have made it difficult for Republicans to win the race in November, Bush said, "You're right."" (link)

Gonzales claim may be moot. It seems the NSA has been spying on everybody.
i lived in NYC through the reign of giuliani and witnessed his drooling over the preznit after 9/11. *puke* i used to call him the Travis Bickle of NYC mayors--he totally ruined hell's kitchen, 42nd street, and my fave place of all, the lower east side.
