Unfair: a new president starting the Iran war

* The London Sunday Times:
"One of the leaked reports, dating from February this year, confirms that President George W Bush is preparing to strike Iran. “If the problem is not resolved in some way, he intends to act before leaving office because it would be ‘unfair’ to leave the task of destroying Iran’s nuclear facilities to a new president,” the document says"
I just saw idiot william krystol spouting this nonsense of FNS (the Times and Krystol are both owned by murdoch). It'd be 'unfair' in that sense that WATB BlinkyBush wants to do it all himself - so it'd be 'unfair' if he had to forgo all the fun and let some other lucky president have his or her own war.

Let's flashback to Sy Hersh, Feb2005:
"(a former high level intelligence official told me:). "Next, we’re going to have the Iranian campaign. We've declared war and the bad guys, wherever they are, are the enemy. This is the last hurrah - we've got four years, and want to come out of this saying we won the war on terrorism.""
It's nice how the outcome is still the same, but they've changed the rationale. Bastards. Now Blinky gets his war as the 'responsibility president'. Jeebus.

(incidentally, at the time i wrote that that sentence was the ' prolly the scariest' in Hersh's article: "they want to win TWOT in 4 years. done and dusted. the only way to do that is to kill everyone.")
