christian satire

* for your viewing pleasure, i stumbled across this site shelleytherepublican.com - the most recent post is called: "Ann Coulter : 100% pure American Gold"

"There are many good Americans out there, but once in a while somebody comes along, really making a difference. Somebody that is more valuable to society than anybody else, somebody that is needed by millions, somebody that does not fail to amaze every single day. The person I am talking about is: Ann Coulter. She is not only exceptionally beautiful on the outside but extremely beautiful on the inside."
the next post features a letter from a reader:
Dear Shelley,

I was just about to visit an adult website. Before I even had finished typing in the URL the in my Internet Explorer suddenly appeared your web site! This never happened before and I can't explain how this happened other than God directed me to ShelleyTheRepublican.com

I started reading and I saw the light. Your sober insight brought me back to the path of light.

I cancelled my adult website subscription and from now on I only surf on good Christian web sites like yours. Thank you Shelley from the bottom of my heart.
the website also features a link to US-Citizenship for Jesus

i cant quite tell if the site is satire or not...

On the subjecy of people who thrive on belittling others, like Ann Coulter, Consortiumnews.com has a great piece by Robert Parry, "Bush, The Alpha Males on the Cruise Ship". I think Dems could keep Busholini permanently unstrung by giving him a dose of his own medicine. Harry Stack Sullivan's "Theory of Interpersonal Psychiatry" points out that people who are insecure need to disparage others to feel equal. Poor little bully boy.

right - bush has to pull the rug out from others so that they are down at his level. what a creep. the episode with howard was disgusting, but completely par-for-the-course.

thnx for the parry piece. he is also posting reader reactions to it: http://www.consortiumnews.com/2006/051806a.html

Another great piece on Busholini's sick psyche is posted on Information Clearing House, by Paul Levy, "Bush is Certifiable". A great Jungian analysis of what ails him. And then of course, "Bush On the Couch" by Josua Franks is a real eye opener. Some choice quotes of his and his imperious, insesitive, "mother". The Bar makes Leona Helmsley look humble and kind.

Went through the whole mess, clicked some of the links (got a real kick out of the pic of Jesus with a .22, but as fucked up as it sounds, I think it's straight.

Well, as straight as anything that willfully ignorant can be. Exhibit A of Bushmania as a full-blown cult. Goddamned creepy-ass shit...

Rove had to be taking lessons from Moon on this one. Serious zombie territory here....

don - it's totally fucking creepy no?

it's pretty close to the perfect definition of satire - i.e. taken to the extreme, but still not quite discernible.

the porn letter was very nearly a giveaway, if i'd seen another episode like that i would have been convinced...

I believe there was another letter, but just a thanks, not a "thanks for saving my immortal soul"...

I looked, I clicked, I read, and as extreme and creepy as everything was, there was nothing that even remotely hinted at a 'wink-wink' moment (a la JG). This is one of the 29%, the product of propaganda and manipulation of DHS and Fox News.
