mexico's drug laws

speaking of bloggy love - if i had known rimone way back when love mattered (feb14 TM) i'd have included her in the list. here's her latest:

moving right along and noted without comment: ‘The official team bus to be used by the United States during the World Cup will not bear a flag for security reasons. The 32 official buses were presented Thursday in Frankfurt and the other 31 buses have large national flags of the their teams painted on rear sides.

German and U.S. security officials came to the conclusion to leave the flag off the U.S. team bus, an official of the German organizing committee said, speaking on condition of anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to discuss the topic…’

finally, the decider, after hearin’ the voices, decided that yesterday was our National Day of Prayer cause praying’s much easier than actually being competent or honest or even intelligent

rimone can put a post together like nobody.

i'll also take this opportunity to warn that i might go football-mad in the next coupla months. if emptywheel can crotch-scratch, so can i. i'm a big arsenal fan - and the english premiership is in the closing days, and the champions league final is in a couple of weeks - and the world cup is just weeks away. so there. be warned. i might slip in a football post or two - especially if australia actually manages to score a goal.

speaking of the World Cup - i've been meaning to write a contemptuous post about the stupid idiot president. apparently he wants to change germany's prostitution laws. and he (with the help of the american media) wants to change mexico's drug laws. rather than elaborating at length, i'll just tell him to STFU.

lol, anonymous.

lukery, you're too kind. however, i'm a firm non-subscriber and/or non-believer to/of any 14. feb consumerist festivities or whatever it is they think they have. i mean, just so you know in future. :-)

forgot to say, about Germany and their legal prostitution, i never saw such sane attitudes about sex before; it was very refreshing to live there (e.g., you could go out on your balcony naked and hang up clothes, or catch the sun and nobody looked askance).
