Rove: obstruction of justice

* larisa was on the PeterBCollins show again she repeated that she is hearing unconfirmed reports that there will be multiple indictments for Rove, less than he deserves because of the 250 pages of emails that he turned over. She did make the extra observation that the emails were previously deleted/destroyed. In other words, not just 'mis-archived' (of course) - so it seems as though there will be obstruction of justice charges, but perhaps Rove will be able to trade down the destruction of evidence charges (perhaps)

* laura: "Recently resigned CIA Executive Director Kyle Dustin Foggo has, according to Time, retained an attorney, Bill Hundley. And who is Hundley? Among other things, he used to be the lawyer for Clinton golfing pal Vernon Jordan during Monica gate, and is a former law partner of Plato Cacheris."

* "Appeals court Judge J. Michael Luttig, a leading conservative jurist and a short-list Bush administration candidate for the Supreme Court, announced today that he is resigning from the bench to serve as senior vice president and general counsel of the Boeing Co." (link)

* "Tom Noe intends to change his not-guilty plea in connection with three federal charges that he illegally funneled money into the reelection campaign of President Bush, according to court records released today.
Mr. Noe had pleaded not guilty to the charges in October. He faced a maximum of 15 years in federal prison if convicted of all charges. Authorities, however, said a lighter sentence was more likely." (link)

* "Hastert also said Negroponte stopped by his office Wednesday and made no mention of the fact that Goss, who served in the House with Hastert for 16 years, would be stepping down as CIA director two days later.
"It looks like a power grab by Mr. Negroponte," said Hastert." (link)
