wow - shuster's report really seems to have woken every up. commentors all over the place are *finally* asking about Plames' outing and Brewster Jennings and Iran and WMD.

people are even asking whether GetWilson makes sense any more. phew!

we may finally have ourselves a watershed moment. in may2006 no less. jeebus.

ah - i wondered who jayt was :-) thanks for that.

Shuster's article is the first time the public has heard that plame was working on iran - and apparently the first time that most in Left Blogistan had heard it too.

That's why you can hear so many pennies dropping all over the place - with people finally asking about Brewster Jennings and 'what it all means' - even amongst FDL'ers.

I think some people had read larisa's article but apparently nobody believed it - or got it - or something. The closest anyone else came to reporting it was clemons mentioned that it was 'maybe true' a couple of times (and juan cole mentioned larisa's article)

the only reason you thought it was common knowledge was becuase you hang out with us commoners.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but is it not weird for Plame to have appeared in Vanity Fair and then attend the WHCA dinner? Basically, I still have doubts about the Wilson/Plame story. The Wilson saga reminds of the Richard Clarke saga...ie...so called good guy comes clean only AFTER the damage has been done.

OTOH, I find it difficult to believe Fitzgerald (or his bosses) would waste his time if there wasn't something to all this.

Noise - yeah - i'm not sure the VF thing was really clever

I have some suspicions about their story too (or at least i'm open to the possibility)

Hopefully we'll soon know all. It wouldnt be a total surprise if the Righties are correct about somethings. It might be a first, but it wouldnt be a total surprise ;-)
