Bush at Center of Intelligence Leak

btw - there's some discussion about whether waas' latest piece says anthing that Jason Leopold didnt say in April: "Bush at Center of Intelligence Leak"

incidentally, leopold's april article states:
"The officials, some of whom are attorneys close to the case, added that more than two dozen emails that the vice president's office said it recently discovered and handed over to leak investigators in February show that President Bush was kept up to date about the circumstances surrounding the effort to discredit former Ambassador Joseph Wilson."
in march, larisa wrote:
"According to several Pentagon sources close to Rove and others familiar with the inquiry, Bush's senior adviser tipped off Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald to information that led to the recent "discovery" of 250 pages of missing email from the office of Vice President Dick Cheney."
both could be simultaneuosly true, of course - each 'email' could be quite long if each email is a simple 'reply to' and includes all previous correspondence.

Still the 4th of July in NA, and although we had our national birthday in Canada 3 days ago, this was just to good to let pass unnoticed.

On Bush's crimes, Shaun Mullen at Kiko's House points to LaPopessa at Make It Stop! Make It Stop! pulling a few lines from the Declaration of Independence, specifically the transgressions of King George III in the eyes of the Continental Congress:

The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world. . . .

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

Where are the statesmen in our time to speak the plain truth, that the United States and the nations in its sphere are falling prey to another tyrant?

lol, you don't know me in meatspace--i'm selfish as shit and the first reason i'd be doing it, is for myself. i'd even do worse if i thought it would help. :-)

i've been wondering about that since President Gore took the high road. i think that, among other things, they're all cowed by the volume and past popularity of the rabid right and they're still under the delusion that obeying the law is the only way for them to go, despite numerous and blatant illegal tactics from the rethug side.

now i happen to agree w/them but i think that in this case, obeying the law hasn't been working. i think that Democrats should be taking one of the rethugs' slogans and using it: whatever it takes.
