9/11 Mysteries (guest post by Uranus)

(update from Lukery (original post was by uranus) - i pulled the vid from the blog - there was some html error - you can see the vid here - 90 mins)

(revised by Uranus) This is a brand new public domain 9/11 Truth documentary about the controlled demolition of the World Trade Center complex. It goes into detail about the fire and steel, and Silverstein's possible motives, and touches on the Bushes. With so many videos on the subject, what I liked about this one was how it suggests the emerging picture of 9/11 being less an act of terrorism and more an act of money-grubbing and political whoring, which makes more sense. But, like I said before, until you get the facts, you know nothing, and no theory is better than another.

I never posted one of those before, so Google wrote the headline and entry. It's a pretty good video. They have an interesting take on the motive, which seems valid and which I won't disclose so as to spoil it for you.

That's good. I didn't know what would happen, then suddenly there it was. I went to sleep. I woke up a little while ago and thought I should come back and try to edit the post, something that didn't occur to me then. It doesn't need all those keywords. I'll try to fix it up a little.

For 9/11 conspiracy theorists Sergeant Lauro Chavez has been the big news recently. On the morning of 9/11 he claims he participated in military exercises in support of Vigilant Guardian that included simulated aircraft attacks against the World Trade Center. He alleges he sighted top secret documents confirming this. Chavez appears to be a real person whose service records have been posted on the Internet and who was based at MacDill AFB, FL on 9/11. The disturbing nature of his account has raised strong suspicions that he may be some kind of fraud. But his story is well worth a look.

Chavez alleges that unusual defences were set up on the morning of 9/11 at MacDill AFB:

During my time at the base that morning, they were setting up barriers around the command and placing gun posts on the roofs. When I questioned one of the security officers about the machine gun and shoulder fired rockets on the roof I was given the answer its a precaution for a plane attempting to crash into this building.

He also confirms that radar injects were common wargame practices and that they were present on 9/11:

What reason would there be to have this type of exercise on that morning, Ill tell you if you are placing fake planes all over the north American aerospace grid then you have no way of knowing which planes are real and which are fake.

Chavez says that NORAD operations had previously only been headed by a military oficer, but shortly before 9/11 this authority was given to Cheney, a civilian. One important claim is that the war games on 9/11 were classified Top Secret and he had never seen this occur before; normally they were classified as Secret so that airports and civil flight controllers would be briefed on NORAD aircraft appearing on their radars. But, apparently, not on 9/11. Chavez has a whole pile of other stuff.

Considerable caution is needed in dealing with Chavez's claims, but they are interesting. 1 2 3

I was reading those articles Damien offered earlier. Personally I'm delighted word of the NIE claiming the war serves the terrorism cause has fueled new interest in 9/11. It underlines how withholding information derails the democratic process by discouraging informed choices, and it reminds people we still don't know why it happened.
