Hastert: Should I stay or should I go now?

what's blastin?

The Clash for denny:
SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO

Should I stay or should I go now?
Should I stay or should I go now?
If I go there will be trouble
An’ if I stay it will be double
So come on and let me know

I'm going to have to get up in the middle of (my) night so that I don't miss anything Thursday.

CNNI have dropped their international programming and are running with Foley, domestic.

Here's a question: considering how much of a micromanager Rove (or just about anyone in the WH or RNC) is, and his near tyrannical reputation for damage control operations, did he (or they) know anything, and if so, what and when?

... and does anyone have proof?

You know that Joe Strummer spent his young days in Ankara, Turkey the same time I was there? He went to the British schools there then I think. Don't know if I might have bumped into him then or not, as I lived only a block or two away from the British embassy there.

Joe, RIP. You're missed a lot!

tell me about it... *sigh* i have a photo i took when i met them ages ago (after the NYC rioting in the street that went on when the promoters stupidly booked them for one night only at bond's). i saw them every night and they were just great. then i went up to the Gramercy Park Hotel after one of the gigs and sat in the lobby waiting; they came in and asked me to come upstairs. they were sooooo friendly and funny; we got high and talked all night.

*blushing* you really haven't heard anything yet (i think i told you i was once on the same stage as the Stones when they first played NYC way back when). and plenty of other band stories that have totally nothing to do w/sex of any kind; i wanted to be a friend, more than a jism-bag for them.

i am smrt, i mean i am kewl! i am kewl! Lukery sed so! *shit-eating grinny*

Damn! Envious of you I be, Rimone! Would have liked to have had a beer with some of those you talked to.

About the only stories I had were talking with and standing next to Rankin' Roger (of the English Beat and Style Council) in a bar for a while watching a Pato Banton concert in the Bay Area some time back. He was almost anonymous with us in that show up to a point where Pato called out and he jumped on stage and jammed with him for a few songs.

That and when another guy famous for his dreadlockss, Jaron Lanier ( the guy who effectively created Virtual Reality some time ago ), put NBC on hold to meet with a Sun sales rep and I who I dragged up to his office to talk about doing future business with him when I worked at Sun. The guy may seem a little whacked out at times, but it's ability to go in so many different directions and think in so many different ways is amazing. Kind of interesting to read how he approaches writing a letter to the president. Not the way perhaps you or I would do it, but interesting nonetheless.

rimone - yep, you are too kewl (we knew that already, and it doesn't have anything to do with who you know - but that bit is kewl too)
