I think of you, Luke, and emptywheel in the same vain, tireless examples of people who care. That you share your study with us is gift enough, but that you are examples of caring is maybe even more important. In a few mainstream articles I've seen "emptywheel" or "Marcy Wheeler" referenced, and few people understand they are one and the same. It's too bad connections to people like you and Marcy aren't more prevalent, but don't despair. I saw part of the conversation with Moyers and Jon Stewart, and Jon said the Bush administration counts on people being too busy to pay close attention to what they do. He went on to say that if it becomes necessary to reinstitute the draft, people will discover they have more spare time than they thought. The messages both of you and people like you hammer out do get through. Without you, it wouldn't happen. Victory is inconspicuous.
