Taiwan's presidential elections scheduled for March of next year are looking more and more like a referendum on independence for the island – at the very time mainland China is threatening against any such moves by Taipei.

While China has decided to cut its military by 20 percent – some 500,000 troops – over the next five years, it is actually increasing the military forces facing Taiwan. This is very significant. It's a signal of what's ahead. It's a sign of what's coming.

In Ohio, where law enforcement officials have consulted the D.C. sniper investigators, they are unwilling even to refer to the shootings as sniper attacks.

Chief Deputy Steve Martin, of the Franklin County sheriff's office, said the word implies "a military person" who dresses in camouflage, lies in wait and shoots from long range. "I'm not ready to say that yet," Martin said, noting that the shooter "may be mobile."
mr ed - so s/hes either got 2 legs or a car or a sk8board?

It seems they've looked at it from every angle but the most obvious one – the same motive of Muhammad and Malvo.
Let me point out that I was the guy who suggested long before they were apprehended that the D.C. snipers were motivated by an allegiance to the ideals of radical Islam. It turned out to be accurate. Isn't it time to think outside the box once again?

mr ed - fuk off off off

The Fellowship, best known for its National Prayer Breakfast every February, is described by backers as a loosely knit group of friends who advise the rich and powerful on the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Molly Morse, a spokeswoman for the company, said Wednesday that a "primary focus" of the internal probe was "related-party transactions," including a $2.5 million investment that the company made earlier this year to Trireme Partners, a venture capital fund where Perle is a managing partner. Black and Kissinger also sit on an advisory board to Trireme.Separately, Hollinger International is also reviewing its annual contribution of some $200,000 to The National Interest, a conservative quarterly magazine that also has links to Perle and Kissinger. Black is listed as the chairman of the magazine's editorial board, Kissinger as the co-chairman, and Perle as a member of the editorial board.

(November 28) We are going to stress the AIDS situation in weeks to come. Poor Africa. Everyone dying there and not a penny from the Bushites. But if you believe the real WHO and CDC figures (not the pap served to the public) we are entering a brand new era of population control. Not only most of Central Africa but India, Bangladesh, PRC, about all of Mexico, Egypt and Russia are all doomed to lose at least half of their population. In Russia it’s drug use and in Africa, mass buggery but in the end (no pun here) they will all die just the same.

Now we are taking all of our troops out of S. Korea and shipping them, along with cadre from absolutely everywhere, to Iraq. It’s even up that when we leave, the North Koreans will launch an attack. They are nuts enough to do this but Bush can’t do a damned thing about it. They are shipping permanent party out of Okinawa to the relief of the locals who are tired of rapes, fatal traffic accidents caused by drunk or stoned GIs…

(Nov 17) the Supreme Court is busting Bush’s balls now. They are going to take cases about the Gitmo gulag and the White House is shrieking with rage. I guess the Court doesn’t realize that Bush thinks he is the one to decide what is constitutional and not the Court. He has a rude surprise coming very soon as I understand…

(November 20, 2003) A major crisis is rapidly approaching in Iraq. Resistance there is mounting daily. Serious explosive outrages are drastically escalating both in occupied Iraq and elsewhere. Deadly bombings in Turkey and very strong intelligence that more and more bombings will transpire in any country friendly to the United States.

(November 22) Odds are there will be some kind of a “demonstration” or, to be blunt, a mutiny of the troops, around Christmas.

(November 23) The CIA has struck again, this time in Georgia. No, they have not blown up Atlanta but the former Soviet Republic has fallen securely into our hands. We want the area for an oil pipeline since the Taliban are restive again in Afghanistan and the projected Unocal pipeline to the sea is not possible at this point. This is also a shot across Putin’s bows warning him to be more cooperative with us or find us right on his doorstep…the next target will be the Ukraine.

The ultra right is quivering with joy at the thought of the rest of us praying in schools, goose-stepping up and down the streets like Hitler Youth while American troops occupy most of the world in a New Roman Empire. Of course this is loonie froth on a tankard of stale ale but keep an eye on the nut fringe.
