(mr ed)
heres one of the most scary things to have crossed my disturbed mind:

since the fallujah four were defiled post-death (and thru the kidnappings), fauxnews and cnn seem to be running pieces which almost seem like halliburton (et al) recruiting videos - focussing on how much money is available or wotever. disguting greta was interviewing the mayor of some town about some guy from the town who had been killed/kidnapped - her last question 'how much money was this guy making?' response '100k, tax free'

they also run the stories under the guise of 'personal pieces' where the (oft-black) guy talks about dreams for retirement, and taking his wife on a cruise, and 'anyone can make 2-3 times as much here - tax free', and a quick itemising of his personal belongings - including a long picture of his bible, and saying how exciting it is being in iraq etc etc. take a cynical look next time u see the same story(s)...

if this hypothesis is true, think about the implications re the moral corruption of the media and others. they use the apparent horrors of defiling/kidnapping to actually run a promotional, recruiting video. one thing is for sure, when they are running the stories about the triffic pay or whatever, they never give a civilian deadcount - the best they offer is 'of course its dangerous, but the pay is good and its exciting'
