"We know that there are others who are going to have to assess how they see the risk," U.S. national security adviser Condoleezza Rice
told ABC. "We have 34 countries with forces on the ground. I think there are going to be some changes."

AP: "Secretary of State Colin Powell said yesterday that one or more countries may follow Spain's lead and withdraw peacekeeping troops from Iraq "based on their own political situation."

ive speculated before that it looks like these horrible people *want* more war, and that they dont want any witnesses - hence all these attacks at the periphery rather than the US heart (and 90% of the body) of the snake. here we see condi and colin on the same msg - an opening to other countries to leave. either that, or possibly innoculating against the possibility that many other countries are gonna follow. i think spain and honduras were the 3rd and 4th largest forces(?) in iraq. and the russians are out. and of all the kidnappings - we see the same again - just one american (i think) - and the rest of the kidnapped reads like waltdisneys 'its a small world after all' - most of whom seem to get released, after some national angst-filled days. yet only one american hostage gets on teeve - presumbaly americans are 80% of available hostage targets, and deserve/get 99% of the hatred toward the coalition - isnt that odd? and the forty or woteva who have been kidnapped cover 10 (?) different nationalities or wotever - including an odd bunch of chinese peasants who somehow landed in iraq...

id hate to consider the consequences of a less multilateral ('more unilateral'?) US... if we continue to see more doors opened for countries to walk outta iraq, we should get more concerned.
