* Media suppresses news of Bush’s moves to cancel US elections

*theres a lot of chatter about cheney leaving the ticket. unbloodylikely.
* sasha cohen interview
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/07/15/arts/television/15ALI.html?pagewanted=all&position=
* "The upshot is that, with a Kerry victory, all meaningful debate on the war
– such as over the question of whether Iraq is worth it – would be
effectively ended, with both parties competing to see who can "win" a war that
cannot be won, short of eviscerating and "transforming" the Middle East while
bankrupting ourselves and suffering untold thousands of casualties in the
process."

dog knows what the options are tho. the whole nader legal batle thing is
feverpitch. taking money from the GOP, murdoch publishing his book, and all the
other shenanigans... one thing that i will say about our dear little dead
democracy though, can people stop with the hysterical 'nader takes dem votes and
therefore shouldnt run' thingy - if people choose to vote for nader, then thats
their choice - blame the voters, not nader. and when people wake up and remember
some curious dream about some odd concept called democracy, then maybe they will
blame redistricting and diebold and the supreme courts, and the fcc, and the
fec, and the fnc, and the electoral college and the rest of it. not nader.
speaking of the electoral college, if bush wins CA, we've got 4+ more years.
strikes me that ca is kinda vulnerable. id wanna be sitting next to arnie all
that week. it seems theres a possible scenario where the gov can appoint all
college seats (?)
* "(Reuters) - Iran's Supreme Leader said on Tuesday he believed the United
States and Israel, rather than Muslims, were behind the kidnapping and killing
of foreign nationals in Iraq. We seriously suspect the agents Americans and
Israelis in conducting such horrendous terrorist moves," said in a meeting with
visiting Singaporean Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong."

this is what ive been saying as well - its kinda easy to dismiss it as coming
from biased iran, but the point is that even so, 2 world leaders are discussing
this as a serious possibility. for the sake of argument, lets assume that it is
true for the moment and check the implications:
1) the berg thing was prolly to cover killing him in custody, all they had to do
now was kill a few people in orange suits to cover it up. they had no
compunction about killing a few more to cover up killing berg. the zarq voice
match was a lie, which means we cant trust anything they say about any vid/audio
tape. zarq doesnt exist, so everything they blame on him is prolly their own
doing. no-one else stands up and tries to take credit for it instead.
2) selecting citizens from countries with a presence is an exact science as i
mentioned yesterday - so the us/israel is actually intentionally trying to drive
these countries out of iraq by negotiating troop withdrawals with the govts of
the hostages countries. heres the scorecard so far
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A50417-2004Jul14?language=printer -
although mongolia has apparently decided to not change its troop status, which
is apparently evident that the coalition of the shilling isnt disintegrating.
remember it was zarq who bombed the UN and the icrc. if zarq doesnt exist, then
praps it was israel/us who were trying to get everyone to leave iraq. they dont
want any witnesses.
* the world is not a better place now that saddam has gone. on what arithmetic?
* the madcow thing is getting absurder
http://www.unknownnews.net/040714madcow.html
* theres been a fannie mae scandal burbling along in the background for a year
or so - it might be heating up. it could be a big big one.
* i mentioned a while back that there is a logical problem with the oct surprise
attack - everyone seems to think that an attack would favour bush, ergo if obl
hates bush, why conduct an attack? i still dont see a way out - except to ignore
it.
apart from that, all seems well...
