* i have nothing useful to add about the russian plane thingy. the idea that its anything but a terrorist attack is absurd of course. all the discussion about how old the planes are and all that sort of thing is obviously rubbish - im not sure why the media is even wasting its time on such. nice to see that they got both blackboxes - they must use different ones to the 911 blackboxes. i wonder if theyll find any titanium passports. its difficult to imagine that the attack isnt related to the chechyen elections this weekend - whether that means that it was an attack by the chechens or by the kgb isnt quite clear. my suspicion is that it was the kgb - similar to those apartment building bombings that they tried to blame on the chechens - with the aim of calling off the elections (sound familiar?) - or praps an excuse for another attempt for moscow to restart the chechyn war... chechnya is prolly toast. but pure speculation at the mo.

* (in case u missed the story) i mentioned the bobdole interview earlier re jfk winning 2 medals on one day - i didnt make it clear that dole was trashing him - pretending that they werent real medals. 1000 bux to anyone who can find a single iota of shame within 10kms of the badmin.

* the twitboat thing is driving me mad - sucking up column miles. the issue isnt about slamming kerry, or the lies, but that the war and the rest of the bush mess isnt getting any coverage.

* (of course, my personal view is that the problems are much larger than
the swiftboat thing... even within the narrow framework of the us
election, my guess is that things will get much worse in the
dirty-tricks sphere and the swiftboat thing will be a quaint memory
in a few months. rove knows how to keep his powder dry - and they
pulled this one off with just a few bux (527 'donations' of just
$150k, presumably plus the airtime bill which i havent seen, plus the
bribes, plus a website plus gazillions in free advertising from
everyone from fauxnews to the newspapers of scratched record)
ftr - my guess is that the airtime bill is near zero (not that money
is a constraint for these peeps) - it seems that all they need to do
is put together an ad and run it during the graveyard shift in a
couple of local mkts and they get a massive echo. in my own local mkt
we have ads on the teeve for individual cafes 'near the supermkt, on
the right' - and thats during the olympics!)

* further to 43 showing that he's going back to work with a midnite rally in PA - he was actually planning to go to athens to watch the iraqis play soccer - im not sure whether he is still gonna do that given that the iraqis will 'only' be playing for bronze - but is that consistent with his purported reasons 4 escaping nyc? of course, i presume u heard that the iraqi soccer team told him to fucc off (http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/asection/la-fg-iraqiteam24aug24,1,6867835,print.story?coll=la-news-a_section) - but he announced the plans for the trip *after* they told him where to go. (i cant quickly find the story about 43 going to athens - praps i dreamt it)

* also - 43 is claiming that iraq is at the olympix cos of him - cept they were also in sydney.

* also - the bush campaign is using the olympix in an ad - which is a trademark breach.

* australias olympix performance is stunning. 3rd in the medals - farken hell.

* today i caught 2 escapee rabbits with my bear (sic) hands.
