back in the ussr

* re beslam "...reports emerged that a video tape tossed out of one of the school's windows yesterday which was purported to contain detailed demands, was in fact blank." hmmmmmm http://news.independent.co.uk/europe/story.jsp?story=557723

* the beslan thing is starting to look a bit dodgy 'older schoolgirls being raped, while hundreds of other children heard their screams' and other such rubbish...

* the sim plane crashes the prev week are also looking a bit dodgy

* only in florida "During Hurricane Charley last month, the principal radar covering the landfall area in southwest Florida went down due to mechanical failure... Miami's main radar has been down since a lightning strike knocked it out last weekend" (b4 Frances) http://www.local6.com/news/3700406/detail.html

* speaking of russia, who remembers the 'chechen looking' suiciders with backpacks (last year) who helpfully asked some passersby 'do u know the way to the kremlin?' hours before they exploded emselves at the kremlin? seems they have come a long way with 'months of planning, including surveillance' for the beslam thingy.

* " William Luti (Pentrael spy dude) said there are at least five or six foreign countries with traits that "no responsible leader can allow," Time quoted sources as saying." http://ptinews.com/pti/ptisite.nsf/$All/3AA4CF889606214D65256F0600509D1C?OpenDocument

* smalltown observation - i wondered why there so so many teens pushing prams today. school holidays.

* wots happening with the limbaugh/oxy case? btw rush has a new gf - CNN anchor Daryn Kagan, 41

* " Iraq's toppled leader Saddam Hussein and his top aides will go on trial within weeks" JIT for amelection. what a farce it will be. (im specifically referring to the trial, not the election) http://www.reuters.co.uk/newsPackageArticle.jhtml?type=worldNews&storyID=577555§ion=news

* "This election has become a test of whether reality still means anything to the American people... Bush’s campaign has been radically testing the limits of how thoroughly one party can lie, misrepresent and smear without paying any price and indeed while reaping rewards in the opinion polls." rarely a truer word written. http://www.consortiumnews.com/2004/090404.html
