RE: Boos and Ooohs...

2 things:
a) being a bit of a psycho, im wary of soundtracks - they can be edited and 'emphasised' and so on. i saw a good example on teeve recently when jfk apparently 'got a cold reception from veterans' (after the swiftee thing) at some function or other - and there was a soundtrack of one person clapping unenthusiastically, which didnt marry with the visuals - it looked to me as though either the soundtrack had been edited, or more likely, there was someone clapping near the audio-recorder which over-rode the rest of it. we saw the same thing at the deanscream thingy.

b) listenting to the audio, it seems like the boo/ooh thing is a faux-choice. the issue is the sentiment of the audience - and according to the audio, theres no doubt that, woteva the actual words/gasps, it wasnt a concerned 'ooooh' - it was an enthusiastic/celebratory cheer (more like a 'woohoo' than anything else) - which is worse than a boo. taboo.
