* it seems the jonk has de-escalated the 'wrongwarwrongywrongz' thing when furiousgeorge turned up the heat on it. praps jonk should have doubledornuthin. they are kinda scared of rove. they should be, but that just means theyve gotta think like rove - and imagine roves view of the chessboard. its not like rove has any real surprises - by which i mean none of his strategies are surprising, and most of the tactics are entirely predictable. and most of the implementation is predictable. the dems can call krove 'boy genius' all they like, but if they arent pre-empting krove's moves then they deserve to lose. if they dont have a devils advocate 'playing krove' in their camp then they almost deserve to lose. fine - they might get sideblinded every now and again by some tactic or other - but they really should be prepared with the liberal flipflopping notquite-a-man-massacheusean thing. and they should have a folder titled 'ways that krove will try to get free media' - including the 'major campaign speech' thing and the sinclair thing - and they should have their operatives (and material) all pre-prepared. the next 3 weeks are rovian heaven - they dont need to be scared of him - but they need to be prepared. and they need to pre-empt. anyways, my point is that just bc rove started ridiculing the wrongxyz thing doesnt mean that they need to back down from it. i reckon within a day of jonk re-iterating 'it is the wrong warplacetime' that rove will shutup. rove is simply used to everyone ceding territory to him - probably cos rove has also thought of the *subsequent* step. the dems just need to do the same, and be prepared. not walk away from an effective attack just cos they are gettin some pushback from karl.
