gay men have man dates

* i wonder if sinclair will get some payola. praps ralphreed will get his own hourly news show.

* "Seymour Hersh: my guess, as i've said above, is that these guys are going to continue their war -- that is, the spreading of democracy -- and try to expand it. one restraint may be the military." sy is on my page.
"Seymour Hersh: the draft will be unlikely, because it would trigger civil disobedience such as we haven't seen since vietnam. even bush would not want to risk that." sy is off my page.

* how long till the iraqis bring the war to amsoil? fallujah is so taost (sic).

* btw - in case u missed it - the lancet 100k dead iraqi survey excluded both ramadi and fallujah.

* "Three congressmen sent a letter to the General Accounting Office on Friday requesting an investigation into irregularities with voting machines used in Tuesday's elections... Software made by Election Systems & Software began subtracting votes when totals surpassed 32,000." http://www.wired.com/news/evote/0,2645,65623,00.html?tw=wn_tophead_2

* "Broward County corrected a computer glitch Thursday that had miscounted thousands of absentee votes, instantly turning a slot-machine measure from loser to winner... The bug, discovered two years ago but never fixed, began subtracting votes after the absentee tally hit 32,500 -- a ceiling put in place by the software makers." http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/10103931.htm

* lemme guess: black communities had longer lines cos they had fewer machines, which means black communities came up against this 32500 number, and their votes werent counted. actually, they turned negative. in richwhite communities, they have more machines, and ergo dont hit the 32500 number per machine. nice.

* "Franklin County, OH: Gahanna 1-B Precinct
638 TOTAL BALLOTS CAST Kerry (D) - 260 votes Bush (R) - 4,258 votes'" somehow 43 got 700% of the vote.

* will cbs show the niger piece now that the election is over?

* "Mr Bush refused to take Mr Zapatero's congratulatory call..." http://www.guardian.co.uk/international/story/0,,1344923,00.html

* guns dont kill people. presidents kill people.

* ' Last night on AAR, Janeanne Garafolo suggested we welcome the next Bush Reich with a "tear gas and fire hose" reception on January 20th of next year.'

* "American intelligence agencies have *tripled* their formal estimate of shoulder-fired surface-to-air missile systems believed to be at large worldwide, since determining that at least 4,000 of the weapons in Iraq's prewar arsenals cannot be accounted for" http://nytimes.com/2004/11/06/politics/06weapons.html?pagewanted=all&position=

* the interesting thing about any 'news' that we get fed these days is that it is unlikely to be for electioneering purposes - for obvious reasons. presumably this means that 'news' will be either: 1) clearing the backlog of stories heretofore hidden 2) some other purpose like ramming thru patriot2 3) actual news(!) ive noticed some stories in the last day about anthrax. great.

* i wanna buy shares in textbook publishers. they'll have to introduce new editions which dont include words like 'evolution' and 'homosex'
