gimme a fateball. make it two.

* "One of Ohio's top legal experts said the challenge to the overall results is unlikely to succeed -- or possibly even proceed -- because the suit doesn't provide hard numbers" i read somewhere recently that in corporate investigations u dont need 'hard' evidence of fraud - statistical anomalies are sufficient. dog bless corporate law. dog bless democracy. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2004/11/28/MNGQ4A2RLK1.DTL

* same link: "Voters themselves were encouraged to call a national hot line to report any problems while voting. More than 25,000 "election incident reports" from Nov. 2 have been compiled by a consortium of voting groups, most of which are headquartered in the Bay Area.
Most complaints were made in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida" fancy that.

* ive actually had a few people make comments in the comments section of the blog. which is odd. if anyone actually reads the blog - say hi. i was pretty sure no-one did. i imagine that anyone commenting is 'just' some random trawler who accidentally got here via some screwed up googling.

* "George Bush's victory in the US presidential election will be challenged in Ohio's supreme court today, when a group of Democratic voters will allege widespread fraud." the guardian belatedly joins in.

* jonk prolly doesnt deserve to win anyway. stoopid fucking democracy.

* how many recount efforts are the media ignoring so far? newhampshire, ohio, nevada, newmexico, florida, north carolina

* "Attorneys for Green Party presidential candidate David Cobb asked a federal court today to take jurisdiction of, and ultimately dissolve, a temporary restraining order issued by a Delaware County, Ohio judge attempting to prevent Cobb from seeking a recount of the presidential ballots cast in that county.
"This is an illegal and outrageous attempt to suppress our rights to participate in the democratic process. As a candidate, I have a right under Ohio law to demand a recount. If the Delaware County Board of Elections has a problem with that, they need to take it up with the Ohio legislature," said David Cobb."It makes you wonder if Delaware County has something to hide. Why else would they try to prevent a recount and issue an injunction without giving the candidates any notice to participate?""

* "Kerry-Edwards campaign files papers in Ohio to intervene in legal proceedings in defense of Green Party presidential candidate David Cobb, Libertarian Michael Badnarik" http://www.votecobb.org/press/2004/nov/pr2004-11-30b.php

* i'd love to see the fadmin come unstuck domestically cos they over-reached with the ukr thing. yo icarus, we hardly flew you...

* btw - ukr gdp growth? 13%. these people are increasingly looking like the brooksbrothers crew of 2000

* in case u missed it, Yushchenko was an ex-pm who apparently stole $600m from the National(ukr)Bank.

* oh asa, we love you
