Dog sends a national chill

* leeden tries to get ahead of the curve re hersh "But it was classic Hersh incoherence, almost from the beginning. Early on he says that he spoke to current and past defense and intelligence officials, but shortly thereafter he says, "The Defense Department and the White House did not respond to requests for comment on this story."... For if "the Defense Department" wouldn’t comment, then how could Hersh have spoken to current Defense officials?" didja catch that? he continues, as only leeden could "Rumsfeld has been irresponsibly timorous" - at least he didnt sign his piece 'faster please'

* i havent mentioned the spongebob thing hardly ever. but still. will it never stop? its becoming increasingly difficult to even pass comment abot the absurdity of these people - and man, havent we had a lot of practise.

* and ftr - for this blogger, it wasnt new news to see the president talking about freedom while there were snipers all over dc. you heard it all first here. or second. or years ago anyways.

* it seems hubble is dead :-(

* if only an actor were elected president

* "Perhaps you're not being clear. "Yeah, I want you to wear a condom, but look at your dick. You think you oughta always wear condoms?"
"Fuck you, you little punk," he replies. "You can pay me to fuck you in the ass, and I'll fuck you good, but do not impugn my integrity.""

* btw - the antiwar unmovement needs something besides 'our troops in harms way' or 'the dead and still getting killed' - it simply doesnt work. and i appreciate the political motivations of '1366 dead' - but its fucking racist and nationalist and disgusting. and i cant see a fucking end to it. worse than that, its gonna multiply. how many missing limbs and brains will it take? im not sure theres any limit. if there were 10,000 dead am soldiers in iraq, we'd still be looking to attack iran. i have no doubt. if it was 500k dead iraqis, it would still be 'worth it'. im despondent with doom.

* ive been predicting the exact same shit for 3 years - but it kinda feels worse at the moment. ive probably said that before... im scared for all. as jons said 'did they just swear him in as president, or dungeon master?' - if he wanted to spread fucking freedom, at least he could maybe do it absent hypocrisy and/or hubris. my mind is melting. again. what times we can look forward to. this next fortnight? its not that im surprised about anything - other than its chilling to hear the words spill out of his mouth. and that it is finally imminent. i used to think that the election didnt matter cos they had that sewn up anyway - but it seems that the dogs have been let loose.

* its amazing how tight the repug message delivery system is - cant we at least hope that some of them re-turn into humans? its frightening.

* why didnt the german people *do* anything?

* i promise to read the bible and learn how to shoot people

* is the bad weather a warning from Dog?

* will the 'iraqis' capture someone who looks like that one picture of zark?

* approximately 4 billion people hate the US - approximately one attack so far. 'security' must be great. yet no-one thinks it is.

* " Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz said in an interview with PBS television's "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer" program. "And it is worth saying that since June 1, there have been more Iraqi police and military killed in action than Americans." kpi. http://www.pandagon.net/mtarchives/004480.html
