out-out brief rage

AMDOM
* everyone is laughing/scared at scalia. "Dog makes our laws" and all that wonky stuff LINK

* 'dialogue' from a socsec clownhall meeting:
"MS. WEBSTER: And I chose the safe plan, government bonds. (Laughter.)
THE PRESIDENT: That's all right. Well, not so safe, unless we fix the deficit."
so sweet. LINK

* "President Bush has named Zalmay Khalilzad to become the new U.S. ambassador to Iraq. Khalilzad is currently serving as the U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan. He will take the post from John Negroponte "
is this a promotion or demotion? LINK

* " Bush has selected Karen Hughes to be undersecretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs will be made early next week, possibly as early as Monday. The position requires Senate confirmation.... She has little experience in foreign affairs"
i hope bubbleboy get choked by the bubble soon. seriously. first rove, now this. c.r.o.n.y.i.s.m. LINK

* "the effort to fast-track Bolton has been successfully derailed "
small mercies LINK

MEDIA
* krugman does a good job (for krug) on jons

* and jons on bolton - 'how to keep out-outraging'

NOTGANNON
* you might remember 3 weeks back that i was looking into a reporter called gabe caggiano cos he was apparently giving notgannon media advice and i wondered why the shitehouse wasnt in (damage) control, and why notgannon was on blitzer which was guaranteed to fuel the flames and all that. googling 'gabe caggiano' came up with the journo and an obscure actor - i assumed that they were different people, but no.
and now some are suggesting that gabe looks a lot like notgannon. you be the judge. LINK
