the last part of the sentence is pretty explicit for an AP lead.

- this of course has nothing to do with states rights. if you are a fetusfreak, it doesnt matter where the abortion is carried out - and more than it matters where an adult gets murdered."

ummm - heres the problem. the fetusfreaks wont stop. anywhere. if its murder to kill a zygote in one state, surely its murder to kill it in another state. this isnt a states rights issue for these people - how could it be? it makes as much sense as saying that "ok that my wife got shot, cos she was hanging out with the coastal elite for the weekend."

that aside for the minute - there are two (for the mo) other probs with this:

first read this - its hard to know whether to laugh or cry. basically the repugs said 'the girls need parental consent', and the dems said 'lets make it parents and grandparents', and the repugs said 'dems hate america and love old pedophiles' etc - this is in the official committee report! (and thats just one example). apparently the repugs prefer their pedophiles just one generation removed.

the other problem is that (eg) taxi and bus drivers can (apparently) be charged - i havent looked into the details much - so i might be wrong. how many ways can this go wrong? lemme count the ways.... we'll get plumpish looking girls who cant get on a bus. all girls will have to wear skimpy clothing to show they arent pregnant. we'll get abortion clinics popping up along borders. we'll get girls walking across borders all alone. and unlicensed teen drivers etc etc. all to save one fucking zygote.

thatll teach those silly girls for us refusing to teach them about sexual health.
