comic book superhero Spider-Man

AMDOM STUFF
* theres some scandal about the clintons and fundraising - apparently with audio tapes - this bit caught my eye tho: "Paul, who partnered with the creator of comic book superhero Spider-Man to create the Internet entertainment company Stan Lee Media" LINK didnt we know someone who worked on that deal? was it andrew brenner?

* there was an article in the nyt dissing bloggers last week - i wasnt gonna comment on it cos there wasnt much to say - except that i just noticed that it was by tom zeller - from memory, he did a lot of the early 'debunking' of election theft stories (probably dissing blogs) LINK

* g also got a laugh out of the jons piece on blogs - u can see it here

* i cant believe that Macaulay Culkin is getting so much fucking attention

* watching condi on larryking is spooky. she is so evil. how do they make people like that? koolaid? she has some weird shit going on with the wrinkles in her forehead - it looks like shes had many of them constrained by plastic surgery - she looks like something out of startrek - which is kinda funny today given that bolton forcing groupsex on his wife which necessarily brings the wandering mind to jack ryan...

* condi: 'i dont think we can pick and choose parts of the constitution'

* theres a blog called The Gorilla in the Room which id never heard of - but xymphora pointed to some apparent shenanigans there the other day. it apparently was largely about the aipac spies - and may or may not have been hijacked.
separately, justin raimondo speculated that the fbi may be going after some bloggers re aipac.
ok - so then i happened to quote from The Gorilla in the Room yesterday, and was kind of surprised to check my site counter logs this morning and found this:
"Referring URL: www.sitemeter.com/default.asp?action=statistics&site=sm4gorillaintheroom&report=11"
which probably means that someone clicked on my link to The Gorilla in the Room yesterday, which got picked up by Gorilla's site counter, and that 'brian' at gorilla went through his logs and was checking to see who was linking to him. none of this would be unusual normally - except that Gorilla is probably getting a gazillion hits right now - if xymph is linking to it, then it probably had a reasonable following beforehand, and if not then, then once xymphora is linking to it, then there will be thousands of people looking at it and linking to it - which probably means that the site will be getting a stack of hits. the question then is whether whoever is monitoring the site counter stats is out there checking every hit on the site, or if they just happened to pick mine at random. id guess the former. so what we have, in summary, is a contentious blog which has been covering the aipac/spy thing, which may or not have been hijacked, which may or not be the focus of a fed probe, apparently checking on every reference in the blogosphere. curious?
thats one scenario anyway. a technorati search suggests that the blog less popular than even mine - so thats another, much more likely, possible scenario...
