g points us to this cnn article titled "Bush asked to explain UK war memo" - despite the title, the egadmin hardly gets a mention, and the article essentially just documents the fact that conyers sent a letter, and laid out what is in the memo. just the facts, ma'am. theres no effort to consider the implications or anything like that - but its a start.

conyers has been media-whoring trying to get the story out: "Tonight, CNN posted a story, though I am not aware if it has made on on the air. Please let me know if you have seen it. The LA Times has a very good piece as well. On the media front, my message to you is to pat yourselves on the back and then get back to work. Letters, calls and emails to your local newspapers and national media outlets make a difference. The Washington Post and New York Times have yet to cover this story in any serious fashion. Where is MSNBC? When Fox covers it in any serious way...that's when we take a break."

it looks like there might be some hard work ahead...

adam ends his email thusly:

"at the risk of stating the obvious...with this latest gem, and the poignant difference of electoral differences between the US and the UK, as noted by Jon S last week (but hardly a breathe from any other 'credible' news source), I'm faced with the painful truth that, for all their misery -lovin', beauracracy building, pain-in-the ass infrastructure building, ol' school mentality, the UK is actually one of the truer forms of Democracy, while their so called rebellious, freedom-lovin', outspoken, tea-spillin', American cousins have actually transformed into a pseudo-democracy controlled by the media, special interests, religious right, and big business, in a manner closer resembling that of our oligarcian-lovin', newly 'democratic', corrupt as-all-hell, Russian comrades...

im not sure about the validity of his thoughts about the uk, but i could hardly have described scamerica any better...
