your mouths filled with the words of others

* "The fact that precisely the same "defence" figured at the top of each official's comeback suggested, of course, that their "talking points" were all prepared by the same source -- testimony perhaps to the kind of extraordinary discipline exercised by this White House to see to it that what used to be called the "message of the day" -- perhaps now more accurately referred to as the "party line" -- is repeated over and over again." LINK

of course this is true, but its time for a 'hats off' to whoever is managing this particular machine. seriously, its really a work of art. these people, whoever is behind the machine, have created an awesome message system. kudos. on a daily basis they craft all the messages, deliver them appropriately, and can somehow keep *everyone* on message - to the word. effectively. for year after year. every day. what a remarkable machine. and while each spurter is obviously parroting the official line, they *never* let their guard down. never do u see them roll their eyes, for example. its so fucking stepford. imagine what that does to your soul. it'd be bad enough being an actor, where u get told what to fake all the time - a) you get to do another cut if u fuck up b) people dont die when you are 'successful' c) u dont have to do it every day.
so heres a tip o the hat to the front-end of the repug message machine - whatever mix of rove/luntz, and a special shoutout to the msg deliverers - blinky and cheney and rice and the rest - it must be challenging somehow to be the most powerful people in the world and still have your mouths filled with the words of others every single day. i dont know how you do it.

history will regard this particular message machine with the same regard as the model T. (or some more appropriate analogy)
