did madison et al add a ctrl-z clause?

* "The search warrants were executed at the company's headquarters two weeks to the day after an MZM official who worked closely with Wade shredded a large stack of documents on the third floor of MZM's Washington headquarters, two sources with knowledge of the incident said independently yesterday. They said the official destroyed the documents on June 17 in a waist-high machine during Wade's final hours in the office, an act that one source described as "weird" because of the timing." LINK

* josh: "Mike Isikoff's piece on Rove's role in the Plame case is now up on the Newsweek website. But the picture it paints seems a bit murkier than what Lawrence O'Donnel suggested... Patrick Fitzgerald is after Rove for some felony arising out of the case (perjury after the fact? conspiracy?) but not the immediate and original act of leaking the name." LINK

* " The e-mails surrendered by Time Inc., which are largely between Cooper and his editors, show that one of Cooper's sources was White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove... Rove's lawyer, Robert Luskin, confirmed that Rove had been interviewed by Cooper for the article. It is unclear, however, what passed between Cooper and Rove." LINK
yesterday i commented that i couldnt beleive that krove actually committed a crime and put it in an email. it seems that maybe that wasnt the case.

* " A top Iranian former secret agent said Saturday the hostage-taker in a 1979 photograph that has come under intense scrutiny is not President-elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad" LINK
surprise surprise. they'll have to line something else up. and they will.

* "Thieves targeted the Ohio Democratic Party Headquarters this week, stealing a computer and a high-tech communications gadget belonging to party chairman Denny White...
The break-in occurs at a time when the Ohio Republican Party is threatened by one of the largest scandals to hit the state’s government in decades." LINK

* digby points to one of his commentors who wonders if bolton led the plame leak - ive previously speculated that maybe plames name might be found in boltons nsa intercepts. LINK
mmmm - closure would taste so delicious. thats the thing with this egadministration, theres very little church/state separation between *all* the 'scandals' - and most of them can probably be traced back through a few central events like bush vs gore. bolton? gonzales? rove? and the next scotus gigs will equally have direct lineage. (one name i havent seen mentioned this week is olson)
or look at coingate and blackwell and ohio and 2004. in my dreamiest of dreams, i dont care about blinkys scotus appointments, cos i imagine/dream that when the day of reckoning comes and the whole fucking badmin is impeached, we'll somehow be able to (legally) recognise that everything theyve ever done was illegitimate and it can all be undone. did madison et al add a ctrl-z clause?
