it is the duty of every true citizen to condemn these illegal wars

* "Sir Ian Blair, the Metropolitan Commissioner said last night that he believed the intention was to kill. Yet some explosive experts yesterday suggested the chance of four bombs all becoming accidentally disconnected from their detonators was inconceivable." link

* "Police praised three men, believed to be two officers and a member of the public, who tackled the bomber at the Oval, ripping his rucksack from his back and securing vital evidence." link
wtf?

* "Another friend, Shabir Ahmed, 38, predicted: “If you have two more bombings like this, and more bloodshed, you will see the rise of the BNP. Muslims will get deported from this country.”
Mustaq Ahmed, 39, who had stood near by listening, nodded. “It has been very difficult for Muslims for the past two weeks, now it is about to become nearly impossible,” he said." link
mission accomplished.

* " it is the duty of every true Muslim to condemn these atrocities and root out those among them who preach and practise such hatred and bitterness."
it is the duty of every true citizen to condemn these illegal wars and root out those among them who preach and practise such hatred and bitterness.

* "Exploding subways, a blistered bus, the dead, wounded, dazed, and distraught just then staggering through our on-screen morning, and there (blinky) was. He had his normal, slightly bowlegged walk, his arms held just out from his side in a fashion that brings the otherwise unusable word "akimbo" to mind." link
just cos its funny. (the rest of the peice is kinda charming too)

* heres an interesting exchange on the dsm between danner of nyrb and kinsley link

* btw - kudos to some of the lefty bloggers who occasionally go deep undercover to see what the stupid redvoters are doing and saying. ill not unoccasionally read some blogger say 'so i was listening to limbaugh today...' or some such. heres a fucking purple star to all of you. i feel brave if i watch hannity or oreilly for ten minutes.
