missing 12 hours

* "The U.S. military on Sunday said it was looking into how virtually identical quotations ended up in two of its news releases about different insurgent attacks...
The July 13 news release said: "'The terrorists are attacking the infrastructure, the children and all of Iraq,' said one Iraqi man who preferred not to be identified. 'They are enemies of humanity without religion or any sort of ethics. They have attacked my community today and I will now take the fight to the terrorists.'"" (link)
priceless. ive mocked this nonsense before. im sure there are thousands of examples. my favourite (recent) example was when stupid jane araf found the sex-club with all the torture. the 'liberators' were (apparently) yelling at the captives for not doing enough to fight terrorists. it was a riot.

* blitzer didnt ask gonzales about the missing 12 hours. (link)

* "If Rove told Bush he wasn't involved, he lied to the President. Why is he still working in the White House? And, if that is the case, why do we have a President who would let someone who lied to him stay in the White House?
If Bush didn't ask Rove, or if Rove did tell Bush he was involved, why is Bush still in the White House?" (link)

* "I think it's important that we all understand why these kinds of attacks happen. These people hate Egypt's freedoms." (link)

* apparently niger got themselves a drought in the last few days.

* harry reid has been mighty quiet of late.
