* "Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has again warned he could take action against Kurdish guerrillas in Iraq" (link)
aka bad news
* arthur: " if Bush does make this recess appointment (bolton) , what that would signify to me is that the administration has definitely decided to attack Iran (either directly or using Israel as the middleman)." (link)
* didja see that interview when matt tiabbi was on the daily show last week? he was pretty damning of kerry. this week, however, he went to the harpers forum on ohio, and has changed his tune. he is shocked. SHOCKED. and scared. he is promising more. (link)
* marie at tlc has a post about whether blinky could really be *that* stupid - heres one para that stuck out: "Other than a single poem, that would make a twelve year old blush because it was so bad, there is no public record of anything he’s written."
i didnt realise that there was no paper trail, for one, and the other thing it reminded me of is the fact that blinky didnt even write that stupid poem - the article about it in slate was subtitled: "The first lady lies in order to make the president look ... stupid?"
if you ever wondered whether the actual truth could ever fall from the lips of this crew, the answer is 'hell, no'
* driftglass: "Dear Jebus,... So if You could grant me one wish today (Tomorrow, all new wishes. Hurray for Jebus!), with Your Magic Jebus Powers, pleeeeease make Bush appoint this human spit-valve via a recess appointment. Pretty please!" (link)
go read the rest - its hysterically funny. the "why are you invading yourself?" thing is brilliant.
* oh oh ohio: " U.S. Attorney Gregory White, a leader in a multiagency task force investigating powerful Republicans in Ohio, asked for help from Gov. Bob Taft’s office to get the federal post he now holds, records released by Mr. Taft’s office yesterday show." (link)
(and if you read thru to the bottom of the article, you'll notice that Noe is trying to sell a car cheap to his brother. there simply is no shame.
