Bob Ney (R-federal prison)

* "House Administration Chairman Bob Ney (R-Ohio) has received a subpoena from the Justice Department asking for any documents in his possession related to former GOP lobbyist Jack Abramoff." (link)
oh, no, ohio.

* holden: "The Bush Economy created only 56,000 new jobs last month while September's numbers were revised downwards by 43,000 jobs and August's numbers were also revised downwards, by a whopping 63,000 jobs. When is it exactly that I should expect those tax cuts for the rich to kick in?" (link)

* jonathon schwarz at ATinyRevolution is mapping the race between nixon and blinky. 'the race to the bottom'. (and congrats to ATR for getting linked by froomkin), (jonathon wrote nice things about me recently)

* "Contrary to Italian government denials, a powerful Italian military intelligence agency passed bogus allegations to the United States of an Iraqi effort to buy uranium ore from the African nation of Niger for a nuclear bomb program, U.S. officials said Friday" (link)
and apparently jay rockefeller isnt sure that the fbi investigation has actually concluded anything.

* here's a flashback to something i wrote a few weeks ago: " repugs are much more worried about the Abramoff thing than the traitorgate thing - as best as i could tell, they arent trying to down-play traitorgate, they seem to know exactly how bad traitorgate is going to be, and it still pales by comparison."
i hope that is still true :-)
