oreilly hearts san francisco

* " FDA's scientific advisers overwhelmingly backed over-the-counter sales of the Plan B brand for all ages. They cited assessments that easier access could halve the nation's 3 million annual unintended pregnancies... Conservatives who consider the pill tantamount to abortion intensely lobbied the Bush administration to reject nonprescription sales, saying it would increase teen sex." (link)
ya know what makes me angry (among many things) is the sheer intellectually honesty of the argument - they have no shame in saying that they dont like EC because it is murder and then 'arguing' that they dont like it cos it 'causes' sex.

* pew: " By about two-to-one (63%-32%), the public rejects the idea of America going its own way and "not worrying too much about whether other countries agree with us or not." But in 2002, Americans rejected this sentiment by nearly three-to-one (72% disagree/25% agree)."
take what you call 'democracy' and shove it.

* richard cohen actually wrote: "It would be nice, fitting and pretty close to sexually exciting if Bush somehow acknowledged his mistakes and said he had learned from them."

* oreilly is calling for a tourism boycott of SF (link)
