as you can probably tell, its kinda busy here at the moment. ive got brothers visiting from everywhere which is great. one of them left here today, so things will probably calm down a bit. i've also been busy with some other stuff and i have a few other posts that are 90% finished - including a special holiday treat with photos of some of the animals that share my environs - and a few new sibel posts - and im gonna do a special shoutout to kathy, one of my regular visitors, who is so lovely that she made me some jewelry - and it puts a smile on my face. all day. i'll post a photo when i get a few spare minutes. thanks again kathy.

Fuck ron. i cant believe that i wasnt #1.

seriously though - im kinda flattered, and i kinda guess that ron is sucking up to me for some reason. ron, i have nothing to offer you - so stop it. but thankyou.

ron has helped me out a lot during the last year, and he also has a great blog. unfortunately, he doesnt post every day any more because he is stepping up to be a real journalist - writing for rawstory and elsewhere. good on him. im happy for him but im bummed that he doesnt post as frequently - but thats just me being selfish.

this is drive-by post (ive been thinking about doing some year-end 'top moments/blogs/issues' even though i think its cheesey) but allow me to make a few comments about rons list.

Press Think - always very interesting, but i never hang out there - i only visit if someone points to it. if i had more hours in the day...
Loaded Mouth - i dont hang out here either. tas seems really lovely. he recently got "instalanched" - congrats to him.
AMERICAblog - i love it and ive read it since before it was trendy, and i check it maybe every 3 hours. it is perhaps less interesting than it used to be, and is now mostly a news service thing like atrios. i dont demean it by that - it is what it is. john is great to deal with and often responds to my emails. he occasionally links to me. their activism is amazing - and congrats to them for the microsoft and ford campaigns. amazing, really. and they owned the notgannon story.
The Common Ills - i had a weird epsiode with these people during the year - it was quite unpleasant and it somehow happened without me. i apologize for whatever im guilty of and i send my best wishes to CI.
wot is it good 4 - ive never read this blog - honestly. im pretty sure that i wouldnt read it even if i didnt write it.
big brass blog - never been there, although i know they organise blogswarms and the like. they came to fame with the downingstreet memos
booman tribune - again, i rarely go there - but im always presently surprised when i do.
The Brad Blog- ive stopped visiting regularly - again, for no reason. bradblog is great though. apparently he is hooked up with sibel. (sibel said she is a blog virgin - i suggested that she start her own blog, and offered her guest-blogging status here)
firedoglake - i want to marry jane and reddhedd
Daily Kos - i dont pretend to understand kostopia. i fell in love with georgia10 after the election and hunter writes great. but the dkos thing confuses me. somehow.
