hinchey, rangel and creveld: "impeach bush"

* becky anderson on cnni introducing a segment on bush's speech: 'it seems like he is speaking to increasingly smaller, and increasingly more partisan, audiences. is he running out of audiences?'
lol (froomkin made a similar point yesterday)

* Rep maurice Hinchey joins the party: ""False information was imparted to the Congress, both orally and in writing, and I think it is the responsibility of the Congress to investigate as to whether or not these offenses are impeachable," Hinchey said." (link)

* as does charlie rangel: ""I’ve been here 35 years, and I know impeachment when I see it," said the New York congressman. "If the president knew there were no weapons of mass destruction and knew there was no connection between Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein, and if the president knew the Iraqis were not involved in the attack on the twin towers and still allowed our nation to believe that we had to invade Iraq for it, then I’m a lawyer and a former federal prosecutor, and these are impeachable offenses,"" (link)

* "When we informed him of a news article about how Bush officials bristle at the suggestion the war in Iraq looks like Vietnam, (Dr. van Creveld) replied, "Well, let them do some bristling. These people should be impeached, tried and punished for misleading the American people into a senseless war. They can then spend their time in prison reading Clausewitz and Sun Tzu."" (link)
