max gelwix

* joseph cannon picks up some of my work on archerlogistics and also on michael mack. he also notes that a company called Horizon Sports Technologies sued a bunch of Wilkes companies - although he isnt sure why, or what it means.

* another wilkes crony, max gelwix donated $15,000 to the recall davis campaign - on behalf of GroupWAdvisors. (link)

* gelwix also gave $50+ k in other donations to DeLay and the other favorite Wilkes targets. (incidentally i couldn't find him giving *any* money before 2003 - apparently it was a new habit of his to throw money around.)

* i havent really discussed the shadowy side of the wilkes history - but here's a quick peek:
"Wilkes' career in political relations dates to the early 1980s, shortly after Foggo joined the CIA. Foggo was sent to Honduras to work with the Contra rebels who were trying to topple the Sandinista government of Nicaragua (Weller owns land in Nicaraqua), according to sources within the CIA. (Weller was working in the Reagan Government then.)

One of his chief activities, sources say, was to accompany congressmen – including then-Rep. Bill Lowery of San Diego, whom Wilkes met during his participation in the SDSU Young Republicans organization (Weller was involved in the Young Republicans) – to Central America(Weller is married to a Congresswoman in Guatemala, Central America) to meet with Foggo and Contra leaders."
Foggo is now number 3 at the CIA. i wont go into the other details, only to note the YR connection again.
