on march 29, 2002, ZIYAD ABDULJAWAD, donated $2000 to DeLay's armpac (ziyad's name is mis-spelled in the official records, so it doesn't come up in normal searches). Ziyad is the financier of Duke Cunningham's trips to saudi.
2 weeks later, another bunch of the Duke's friends donated to ARMPAC.
Joel Combs (GroupW/ADCS) donated $5000
Max Gelwick, (Perfect wave et al) donated $5000
Brent Wilkes and his wife each donated another $5000
That's a total of $22,000, in 2 weeks, from Duke's buddies. ARMPAC only raised $100k in California all year.
what did the Duke get in return? were the payments 'earmarked' as dukes? i'd love to be able to get my hands on those internal 'earmark'/tagging of these donations...
