more london bombings

* via here, comes a story that i'd missed back in november about the London bombers. as it happens, the UK security forces had a list of the most crazed possible-terrorists in the country (fewer than 100). all four of the london bombers were on the list and had been watched in the previous year. it's odd that this news took 4 months to come out (quietly).

similarly, it's odd that it took five days to learn the identity of the bombers. by the night of the bombing, they knew that the bus-bomber was missing, and he was on the list of fewer than 100 potential terrorists and they failed to connect the dots? c'mon.

as an aside, the article gives us this new tidbit:
"Tanweer was filmed arguing with a cashier about being short-changed at a petrol station hours before he blew himself up. "
a few hours later, he was buying return traintickets and pre-paying for his parking.

Could the list of terrorists be a "Patsy list?"

Purchasing return tickets, arguing over incorrect change? Does that sound like the actions of people on a death mission?
