false-equivalence CRAP

God I hate these people - trying to exonerate themselves by lying.

AP Headline: "In New Video, Blanco Says Levees Are Safe"

AP lede:
" In the hectic, confused hours after Hurricane Katrina lashed the Gulf Coast, Louisiana's governor hesitantly but mistakenly assured the Bush administration that New Orleans' protective levees were intact, according to new video obtained by The Associated Press showing briefings that day with federal officials."
Actual quote:
""We keep getting reports in some places that maybe water is coming over the levees... We heard a report unconfirmed, I think, we have not breached the levee. I think we have not breached the levee at this time.""

The stupid president was told that the levees might break before the hurricane hit. Five days later, he pulled a Condi and said "noone coulda known..." Six months later he got busted for being a liar and an idiot, and then they pull some crazy false-equivalence CRAP because in the middle of the hurricane, when the comms equipment had collapsed and the place was in turmoil, Blanco tells them that she has heard unconfirmed reports, but isnt quite sure whether they are true - and Stupid Preznit Blinky gets to skate.

ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
