Katherine Harris quietly deposited $3 million

* "Embattled U.S. Senate candidate Katherine Harris quietly deposited $3 million of her own money into her campaign last week, far less than the $10 million she promised on national television.

Harris' smaller-than-expected investment could further hurt her credibility, already damaged by a staff mutiny, tepid support from leaders of her own party and shifting explanations about her campaign finances. Last month, she said on television that the $10 million would come from an inheritance from her late father. Days later, after persistent questions from reporters, she said the money would come from selling off her own assets." (link)

MOA!

Lovely to see you! i was thinking of you just yesterday...

italy is indeed fucked up. i've been covering italy a little bit - not so much the election, but the SISMI connection to the iraq war and the niger forgeries.

there's something seriously wrong with a media billionaire being president - although murdoch arguably has more power than most world leaders anyways.

io sono un coglione!

moa - what can you tell us about the election?

does berlusconi have a chance? do they use electronic voting?

will prodi be an improvement?

prodi would definetly be an improvement, for the italian people but also for italy as nation. today europe is lauuging at italy when it comes to politics. if they want to be taken seroious and play a part in the EU prodi needs to win. but im even more hoping for prodi for the italians sake.

the last debete before the election on sun-mon the media (here in sweden, didn't see it my self) claim berlusconi did better then previously.

in italy it's forbidden to publish poll's the days before the election so we just don't know if prodis lead with 5% still is on...
