* " But there remains a major issue this trial has ignored. As lawyer David Cole wrote me, "There is something fundamentally wrong with trying to execute Moussaoui, an admittedly marginal figure who was not himself even involved in the planning of 9/11, when we have detained the mastermind of the attack, and the alleged 20th hijacker, but have brought no charges against them - and probably never will, because our torture of them effectively immunizes them from prosecution."" (link)This CIA Leak Investigation has continued for nearly 26 months. One may wonder what takes so long. To this Fitzgerald replied, “I cannot comment on that even for The Owl while this case is still pending trial.”
“The law is often unclear, and where it is unclear, you must make a reasoned judgment about what the law should be,” Fitzgerald commented. In order to make that reasoned judgment, “you must find out the facts as accurately as possible.”
Fitzgerald later explained that all federal prosecutors should have a “sense of what motivates people” since they are “dealing with a lot of very human situations.”"

OK, Luke, we have Rove going back to the GJ. What does this mean? Does this support Larisa's story that Rove is cooperating with Fitzgerald? Or does it fit Jason Leopold's story that Rove is about to be indicted?
Please, please don't tell me it's just a last interview before Fitz wraps up the investigation and decides no further indictments are warranted. There is a poster in the comments on firedoglake (Jeff) that keeps peddling this line, based on something Lawrence O Donnell wrote.
This is not what we want to hear, is it?
aha - i don't have any inside running on this one.
my guess is that it can't be good news for karl to be in front of the GJ again -
my first thought is that larisa's position isn't necessarily contrary to leopold's - it's possible (probable?) that rove is co-operating on the major issues and that fitz has him on a few of the minor charges but karl might think that he can talk the GJ into dropping one of the minor charges.
it's possible that karl begged fitz to go in front of the GJ, and fitz has agreed to give karl the opportunity cos fitz doesnt really care, but was able to leverage a little bit more outta karl on the more substantive issues.
pure speculation from me - but i dont see it as bad news (i havent heard or read anything about the GJ this morning - so i could be completely wrong)
