* "Shuster's Tuesday report suggested that the Office of Vice President Dick Cheney was aware of the sensitivity of Plame's work, though there are no indications he knew she was working on Iran." (link)
'no indications,' yet.
* "In light of reports that CIA Agent Valerie Plame was working to track Iran’s effort to obtain nuclear weapons when her identity was leaked, U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) today called on CIA Director Porter Goss to provide an assessment of the damage to national security from the incident, RAW STORY has learned." (link)
* E&P: "What was Valerie Plame working on at the CIA when she was outed by administraton officials and columnist Robert Novak? MSNBC's David Schuster on Monday said he had confirmed an earlier report that she was helping to keep track of Iran's nuclear activity--now a front and center issue for the White House. "
(congrats to E&P for actually crediting Larisa)
can someone please explain why Shuster has more credibility that Larisa?
can everyone please take a look at the rest of larisa's reporting now? there's a lot more there.

Imagine if Internet bloggers were in the White House press briefings instead of the awful WH Correspondents (with the exception of Helen Thomas).
Our mainstream media is arrogant, corrupt and powerful. They have incredible resources but do not use them to pursue the truth because the network suits are in bed with the warhawks.
Sites like Rawstory are a major threat to their control of the news cycle. Plus, the Internet has several excellent sites that focus exclusively on mainstream media's bad news coverage and corporate bias. That has to be pissing off lots of people.
It comes down to competing agendas. Some news organizations (almost all of them are Internet based) pursue truth and government accountability. Others want to disseminate propaganda and serve their corporate bosses.
