Colbert 'was a bully'

* richard cohen:
"Colbert was not just a failure as a comedian but rude. Rude is not the same as brash. It is not the same as brassy. It is not the same as gutsy or thinking outside the box. Rudeness means taking advantage of the other person's sense of decorum or tradition or civility that keeps that other person from striking back or, worse, rising in a huff and leaving. The other night, that person was George W. Bush... Colbert was more than rude. He was a bully."
* why does AOL hate the president? they are hosting a vid of colbert at WHCA - the last 8 mins (the helen thomas video) has the camera exclusively on PreznitPissyPants - start at 16.40

* madsen (fwiw): "The Federal grand jury investigating Leakgate, specifically Karl Rove, met today at the E. Barrett Prettyman Federal Courthouse, however, Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald was not present... All indications are that some important news on the Rove front will be breaking soon."

* note to media: i don't care about Tiger's dead dad

* larry johnson:

Drumheller made real news with the following comment:

You’re certainly right on the fact that the information that was in the State of the Union Address was inaccurate, and that the yellowcake reporting from Niger, the reports that had come in on the issue of yellowcake were well-known to have been discredited as far back as September and October."
is that news? Tenet pulled that info out of the Cincinatti speech in october.

* RawStory:
"Valerie Plame Wilson, the Central Intelligence Agency outed in a 2003 column by conservative columnist Robert Novak, is shopping for a book deal, according to a report in tomorrow's New York Times."
note to Val - write the book now so that it's ready for publication soon.

* does david shuster really talk like that in real life?

rude?...what's rude?...I'll tell you what's rude...lying your f-ing head off in a SOTU address so that 2000 US soldiers can be needlessly killed, 20,000 more maimed for life and 100,000 Iraqi's burned, shot, bombed and tortured to satisy you and your thieving f-ing buddies.

Maybe you didn't notice Richard Cohen? - that's war crimes and crimes against humanity. They hanged people for that at Nuremberg. Maybe, just maybe the world will get really f-ing lucky....

i'm still stunned by the preznit's tasteless, classless little routine from two years back--now AFAIC, that's worse than rude to every person who's died in Iraq for no reason apart from dum-Bo wanting to be a war preznit.

and the corporate media thought it was comedy, still amazing to me.
