my carbon-based world is calling - but in response to my rod barton post, damien has some aussie-specific-ish thoughts here and here. basically, there's an aussie in gitmo named david hicks who should , by all accounts (im not really familiar with the story) should be free - and (from what i can gather) if he gets british citizenship (via his grandmother's nationality or some such) he will be freed (or at least not gitmo'd)
and while i'm at it - i dont normally blog local - but let me take the opportunity to give a big FUCKYOU shout-out to john howard. he'd be as bad as blair and bush if he was given the slightest opportunity
