Nothing on identities except that there were 2 Saudis and 1 Yemeni. You want to wonder who they were and how they ended up there and what their stories were.

Sadly, I keep thinking back to this Will Bunch post and wondering what they knew and who'd want them dead and why.

Is it paranoia if they really are out to get you?

They probably did commit suicide. You recall a while back they had 75 prisoners at Gitmo on a hunger strike. They were force fed, actions that are forbidden by UN statutes(I've forgotten if it's actually in the Geneva Conventions). Also international medical codes specifically prohibit doctors participating in the forced feeding of political prisoners. So these actions were crimes against humanity. It's also a measure of the moral baseness of Rumsfeld et al. Not only do they illegally hold these, mostly innocent, people they deny them the right to the only form of protest they have. The arseholes that did this belong behind bars. Gitmo should have been emptied years ago.

damien - i dont doubt that they were suicides.

did you see this from the SMH:
"They hung themselves with fabricated nooses made out of clothes and bed sheets," base commander Navy Rear Adm. Harry Harris told reporters in a conference call from the US base in southeastern Cuba.

"They have no regard for human life," he said. "Neither ours nor their own. I believe this was not an act of desperation but an act of asymmetric warfare against us."

an act of warfare. i'm speechless.

don - i suspect they were innocent - like most everyone else there.

as damien says, the whole place is a complete... (i cant even find the words)

i'm sure Bunch is right tho - the americans have refused to allow any court, anywhere in the world, to properly investigate 911

Synchronicity-city. I just heard in the background, Wolf Blitzer say that Bush is 'closeted' up at Camp David with his advisers. Does that include Jeff Gannon?

ah yes - it is all very Camp
