"For example, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed described the design of planned attacks of buildings inside the U.S. and how operatives were directed to carry them out."
"That is valuable information for those of us who have the responsibility to protect the American people. He told us the operatives had been instructed to ensure that the explosives went off at a high -- a point that was high enough to prevent people trapped above from escaping."
So why would he use the term 'explosives'? Why not just say the terrorists had to 'aim the planes' at a high point? And why call them 'operatives'? I thought we were talking about plane 'hijackers'?
Rimone: you were tricked. Your mission now is to move from submissive to predator. What's going on over there? I can advise you, but you must be willing to spill.
Damien: isn't it amazing how much the Bush administration is willing to admit, and charming how they want to leave the impression it's inadvertent? Hard to say what history will treat more harshly, their evil or citizens' lack of awareness and concern.
I've been sleeping. In the last two days the heat broke and we had a plentiful dose of rain. We're suffering from an exceptional drought which has outpaced the Dust Bowl of the 1930s. The heat and dust has made it hard for me to sleep, and I just worked off some of my sleep deprivation. More rain is expected later this week. I hope we're at a turning point. I got my water distiller running and am drinking the first purified water. All this is making my head spin.
There are lots of good news stories and editorials the past few days. I like this one, not because I'm a lifetime member of the Episcopal church, but for the attitude expressed by the church and particularly a parishioner who stated, "being passive plays into the culture of oppression."
I've been wanting to talk about that at great, excruciating length and I might start today, if I can get over this dizzy spell.

what was i saying again? oh yeah, if i were to move from submissive to predator, i'd be flying all over the world (yes, w/o my carry-on bag which i ALWAYS carry on) and meeting everyone so i could do 'things' to them. you too, buster. :-)
ahhh - finally - the perfect submissive. (although i do prefer my submissives to be somewhat sycophantic - which is kinda difficult when they are TOTALLY silent)
