Don't get me wrong. I really didn't expect Holy Joe or Saint McCain or the Decider to change their stance toward "cutting and running" after being told there was no chance in hell of success. But it seems to me that what we've just seen is a very petulant President get spanked, then run off to meet with his co-conspirators to plot how he can continue to do just what he's been doing.
