One of the amazing things about our country

* your president speaks:
"One of the amazing things about our country is that we've got military folks who volunteer to go into a tough zone to protect the American people from future harm, and they've got families who stand by them. Whether you be a general or a private in the military, there is a U.S. -- there's a family member saying, I love you and I support you."
one of the most amazing things about other countries, is that their military folk protect citizens from their countries. it's amazing.

* scott interviewed (30mins) raimondo about the libby trial and the outing of Plame - and speculate maybe that it wasn't about GetWilson. perhaps they were trying to cover up who forged the forgeries. or something else...

* josh, shrill:
'But this is a key point -- one we've mentioned before: under present circumstances, the interests of the White House are radical disjoined from those of the country. It's a very dangerous situation."

* ron has written 1000 posts. happy shiny round number, dude.

* juancole:
"Representative Walter Jones (R-NC) will introduce a bill forbidding Bush from undertaking military action against Iran without Congressional authorization. Good for him! Maybe someday we'll get our Constitition back."
* wired (thnx chris):
"Israel is developing a robot the size of a hornet to attack terrorists. And although the prototype will not fly for three years, killer Micro Air Vehicles, or MAVs, are much closer than that."

* josh:
"There's your other shoe dropping. Karl Rove and White House 'counselor' Dan Bartlett have both received subpeonas to testify at the Scooter Libby trial. How much do Rove and Bartlett want to testify under oath, in public, as hostile witnesses, on this topic?"
