the military industrial complex not only controls our government...

* the highlights from Gravel's performance in the debate are here. one fave quote
"the military industrial complex not only controls our government - lock, stock & barrel - but it also controls our culture!"

* larisa:
"What I was told very specifically was that Rice took the (pre 911) warning directly to two people: the then Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and the still current Vice President Dick Cheney. What struck me odd at the time I heard this was that Condi did not bother taking this directly to the President. So she is not being entirely honest here but she is also not entirely responsible. Tenet did warn Condi as did other members of the intelligence community and both Cheney and Rumsfeld were warned as well. The President was warned by several CIA officers, despite Condi's failures to notify him."
* i thought something was funny with the timing around the story about Tenet being told about the Ledeen/Ghorba meetings. Muriel Kane has the details.

* IOZ is upset at Durbin for not telling the rest of us the Intel they got before the war showed that the egadministration was lying. more here.

President Gravel is right on. Our culture itself is molded by the Corporations. That is why we, the people, will elect him President of the United States.

Gravel was great. Dems better pray he's included in all the debates to keep viewers from being bored comatose with the bland, homogenized, yesterday's porridge, of the so called "top tier" candidates. He adds some spice to the pot.
