dont hide in a safe-house

* colin powell did a luvverly 30 min sitdown with hannity. whore. was powell simply co-opted by the cadmin or do they have something? what do they have on mccain?

* btw - my tendency is to be anti-gun - but an unarmed citizenry (at the mo) is kinda scary. im surprised that bush doesnt worry about the implications. if ya look at the constitution as a series of checks and balances, then the right to bare arms (sic) might have the same sort of wisdom to it. its true that technology has changed a lot since the founders' work, but at the same time, all other chex&balances have disappeared - congress? ha. church? ha. media? ha. coursts? ha. everything has been co-opted. we know how wise the f.fathers were - we are watching the collapse of the institutions, and the specific resultant outcomes they predicted. i dont wanna see everyone with a gun, but its not too difficult to imagine a scenario where thats all youve got. im not in the slightest suggesting u go get one - a 2nd passport ought be enuff for the mo. my paranoid concern is that there might be a reason why 43 wants guns on the streets. i dont even know what those reasons might be, but none of em would be pretty. if i was 43 id generally be worried bout crazy people with quality guns. and i dont really think that the 'pandering to the nra' argument holds much weight. who else they gonna vote 4? jfk2-the boston blueblood brahmin who uses 'gild' in a sentence? the one who cheston-hater mmooore is working for? as ive said b4, its ashcroft who loves guns - does he see it as a Rapture trigger (sic)? nothing would surprise these days. nuthin. praps they reckon that gunowners are repug and wont shoot the pres - but thats just dealing with averages - 'on average, people have one testicle', 'on average, people will get a tax cheque' - that sort of thing - but as ari1 said (re saddam) 'it only takes one bullet'

* draught jenna

* imagine if trent lott or delay or someone had given the zell speech. the repugs are soooooooo good. (btw - is there a better example of the orwellian nature than zells 'occupation' rant?)

* oreilly interviewed jonstewart - i hope he hasnt sold out - i made my plea only days earlier. please, no. its the book, i know, but still...

* btw - oreilly called stewarts audience 'stoners'

* zarq is everywhere all of a sudden. ive missed him.
